A small SIPs side extension to a semi detached house, replacing a redundent shed into a beautiful home office/snug and utility room. The use of SIPs maximising the floor space and U-Values.

'Thomas Carter Ltd built a side extension on our house in a space previously occupied by a shed that wasn't being used to its full potential. We chose to use SIPs, as we wanted to maximise the amount of internal space in the extension and wanted to use a local company who specialise in SIPs buldings. Although it was a simple build on the face of it, the close proximity of large trees and piled foundations on the existing house, meant the extension required some fairly robust engineering and building in the ground works before the SIPs could be installed.
From the start of the build Gerry and Simone were friendly, helpful and honest. All the trades and contractors for the various stages of the build were hard working, quick and delivered high quality work, while maintaining a secure and tidy site so that our children and pets were kept safe during works. The finished building was handed over pretty much on time, which is remarkable considering the inflationary and supply side pressures the building industry has faced this year.
We now have a verly lovely space for an office and utility room, where once there was just a dead space, we've increased the square footage of the house and are really happy with the building and the quality of work. We would definitely recommend Thomas Carter to anyone thinking of an extension using SIPs'.
